The Jenyns Patent Corset Pty. Ltd. was established in Brisbane in 1898 by Sarah Ann Jenyns (1865-1952) and her husband Ebenezer Randolphus Jenyns (1865-1958). The company was located at 309-315 George Street and was a leading corset label, pioneering surgical and hygenic corsets for women. The business eventually became one of Queensland's longest running fashion companies and one of the country's most significant underwear empires.
