Abstract
This material was collected and maintained by William Dunlop during his service in the Middle East and Europe during the First World War, and added to by his family in later years.
Scope and content
The collection comprises the papers and personal effects of Private William Dunlop. It includes correspondence carried with him in France and letters and postcards he sent home. There are photographs of William Dunlop's family and some others of him in military uniform with other soldiers. There are concert programs from his voyage to Egypt, and official correspondence relating to the return of his personal effects. The collection also includes his diaries whilst on active service, military badges and buttons he may have collected from other soldiers, and the Mother and Widows Badge, the Peace of 1919 medalet and the Memorial Plaque sent to William Dunlop's family after his death.
