  • proposal, budget breakdowns, ephemera and ticket for the two 25th anniversary concerts held at the Arena, December 2000 titled "4ZZZs 25th birthday...live behind the banana curtain".  Bands playing were Regurgitator, The Riptides, ISIS, Mystery of Sixes, Screamfeeder, Pineapples From The Dawn Of Time, Blowhard and Chopper.

    • about the bands The Riptides, Regurgitator, Pineapples and Mystery of Sixes who were some of the bands playing at the Arena

  • "Thank you gig" complementary door passes.  The "Thank you gig" was held at "The Healer" December 2000 and bands playing were The Survivors, The Colours, Hotel Breslin, Post No Bills and The Mezzcats.

Biographical history
The 25th anniversary of 4ZZZ was marked by the organisation of the above concerts and a CD of 41 Brisbane artists titled "Behind the Banana Curtain".  The concerts were organised concurrently with the CD.   Initially one concert was planned at Festival Hall.  This didn't eventuate and in the end two concerts went ahead at the Arena instead. - Phil Parker

Material includes: 

  • photocopies of clippings describing the 4 am eviction of 4ZZZ from their studio in the Queensland University Student Union Building and the subsequent retaking of the studio.  Clippings include an article titled "A dawn raid ended the rebel 4ZZZ era", a political cartoon and an article titled "Rebel radio station back on the air after dawn raid : evicted staff seize studio" all dated 1988. 
  • photocopies of clippings describing revocation of the Queens Hotel, Eagle St, entertainment license.  4ZZZ used the venue to host bands and it was a source of revenue for the station.  Clippings include "Wall of resentment", "Pub concerts must move on" and  "Brisbane rock in doldrums : license to rage cancelled" all dated 1979.     
  • newspaper clippings about 4ZZZ titled "Triple Z struggles for independence", 1998, and  "4ZZZ is a heavenly forum for battlers", 1996.  This last clipping includes a photograph of Phil Parker working at 4ZZZ.  
  • "Time Off" newspaper containing articles detailing information about 4ZZZ and its March 1982 Radiothon.

Biographical history
Guitarist John Spresser (former member of the bands the Toy Watches and the Skeletones) was badly injured during a workplace accident which resulted in him requiring care in a nursing home. To raise money for his care, a number of bands from the 1980's reformed for one show. Bands were The Lemmings, The Pits, The Pinups, The Vicious Kites (now known as The Ne'erdowells) and Bremer Beat (featuring members of The Toy Watches, The Skeletons and The Colours). The concert was held at East Brisbane Bowls Club, 2-6 pm 30 July 2006 and was hosted by Phil Parker. A limited edition compilation CD of over 20 songs by the bands involved were on sale, as well as 1980's memorabilia including a Skeletones CD "Dead at Amyls Nightspace". - media release, 22 July 2006, item 31934/98.
