Architectural drawings and plans.
Scope and content

The architectural work is a mix of contract drawings for confirmed building projects, competition designs and tenders. Some of the drawings are for building projects which were not realised. Building projects include commercial premises, hospitals, churches, public buildings and private residences.

Administrative / Biographical history

John Richard Hall (1835-1883), architect, civil engineer and surveyor, founded his architectural practice in Brisbane in 1864. His practice continues today as gray puksand mbs, making it the oldest continuing architectural firm in Queensland.
