The album includes a number of photographs relating to conferences and events of the Professional Photographers Association of Australian and the Professional Photographers Association of Queensland from the 1940s to the 1960s, as well as a certificate certifying that Alva Duryea was elected president of the PPA in 1949 and appointed life honourable member in 1957. The album also includes images of the Duryea family house at Toowong and of South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania. There are also photographs depicting the arrival of HMAS Australia in Sydney; naval officers parading down Queen Street, Brisbane after World War Two; Alva Duryea during World War One
