A collection of material relating to the history of the Sunshine Coast and hinterland; including correspondence, clippings, oral histories and photographs relating to families and industries of the district.

Audio tapes containing oral histories relating to Pomona and district, and recordings of speeches made at Sunshine Coast National Trust events including speeches given by Gabrile Poole, Roger Todd and Lindsay Clare, John Mainwaring.

Administrative / Biographical history

Aline Gillespie was a South-east Queensland based local historian and advocate for cultural heritage preservation. She published a series of seven books on the history of the Pomona District (Pomona : the historical centre of Noosa Shire, published by Cooroora Historical Society, 2000-) as well as a Queensland history of the Young Christian Women's Association (Widening horizons : the YWCA in Queensland 1888-1988). She was also involved with the Cooroora Historical Society, Noosa Shire Museum, Pomona Built Heritage Preservation Group and the Cultural Heritage of Noosa Shire Study.
