Peter Fischmann Queensland Rail Photographs

A collection of black and white photographs, spanning the era between 1979 to 1995 documenting the experience of Queenslanders utilising the Queensland railway system. The photographic collection by Peter Fischmann predominately captures the stations at South Brisbane, Central, and Roma Street. However, there are also images from the Chelmer, Grandchester, Laidley, Mayne, Tennyson and Toowong Stations. The photographs show us how the stations looked at the time, how they were operated, as well as the commuters and station workers in their fashions of the day.
