Abstract
First World War photographs, papers and memorabilia belonging to decorated Queensland nurse Constance Keys.
Scope and content
The collection comprises photographs, letters, diaries, ephemera and objects pertaining to the war service of Sister Constance Keys who was stationed in Egypt, England and on the Western Front. The correspondence and diaries provide a complete account of her war service describing the wounded returning from Gallipoli and the dangers of nursing in a casualty clearing station on the Western Front. Keys also mentions many Queensland nurses and soldiers with whom she was associated and the social activities in which they engaged during the war.
