Abstract
Approximately 17 hours of raw, uncut footage of the construction of the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge across Bramble Bay between the Redcliffe suburb of Clontarf and the Brisbane suburb of Brighton. Built in 2008-2009, the bridge provides southbound lanes, while the earlier Houghton Highway bridge provides northbound lanes. The professional footage documents all aspects of the construction process of the bridge. An additional film contains 42 minutes relating to the 2011 removal of the original Hornibrook Bridge, the first bridge to span this crossing. The footage focuses on the construction of the walkway and fishing platform that replaced the bridge.
