Series 1: Motion pictures (1925-1979?)
These films contains home movie footage relating to the Brims family of Brisbane - Marcus and Gladys Brims (nee Fulcher) and their children - Beulah, Elva, Myrtle, Pam, Royal and John. The footage also includes members of the extended Brims family as well as the Fulcher family. The films contain footage relating to the family business D. G. Brims & Sons, a joinery and plywood business, with its original premises at Milton and later at Yeerongpilly.The footage comprises spliced together short strips of film from many different locations and dates. The footage is not necessarily in chronological order, varies in quality and in some instances is reversed.

Home movie footage relating to the Brims family: There are a number of scenes of the family in their yard at White Street, Milton, and later at Ekibin Rd, Annerley. This footage includes parties and party games, cricket matches, dress-ups, a swing (made of Brims plywood), toy planes and cars, flower gardens and cycling. There are also a number of trips to Suttons Beach at Redcliffe, and picnics and bushwalks. Other scenes of note include the first Kyogle train coming through Brisbane suburbs, 1930 (30:13); Flooded streets in Milton including footage of the Brims factory and Plume petrol station on Coronation Drive, 1920s (32:10); Sand garden competition at Redcliffe including Beulah Brims as an entrant, early 1930s (46:37); Large street procession passing through Brisbane streets, ca 1930 (48:35); Maypole dancing at the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds, ca 1930 (51:23); Brims family sawmill at Yeerongpilly, ca. 1932 (52:20).
