John Willsteed music poster archive

Approximately 350 posters, including some handbills. The collection comprises original music posters (some hand produced) from Brisbane, displaying art and design features. Other posters advertise various alternative, rock and punk music bands from various venues in Queensland, New South Wales and overseas. This collection was created as part of the 'Letty Katts Award, 2016'. As part of a project, 'Street life: posters and their role in the Brisbane music scene 1975-1995', the award recipient, John Willsteed sought donations through social media and music industry contacts to create a collection of predominantly Queensland music posters from the 1970s to the 1990s and into 2010s.
