This film shows:

• day time and night time footage of Brisbane CBD businesses and decorations to welcome the Queen.  Businesses featured include Wallace Bishop, McWilliams Wines, Pioneer, Palings, Pig’n Whistle and casket, Regent, British Empire Hotel, Wintergarden, Bayards, Trittons and Christies. Includes extended footage of neon lights.
• day time crowds gathered waving to welcome the Queen on Hutton Lane, Brisbane CBD as she is driven past.
• Toowoomba welcome banners and other decorations including a banner from the Greek Community.  Crowds waiting to welcome the Queen then welcoming her as she is driven past.
• Warwick welcome banners and decorations.
• airport scenes at Eagle Farm, Brisbane, including the Queen arriving in a Trans Australia Airlines plane, greeting crowds and inspecting members of the armed forces then later leaving in a Qantas plane.

The film shows various activities at the airport, Eagle Farm including:

• crowds waving to the Queen as she is driven past.
• the Queen watching a display by members of the armed forces then inspecting them.
• armed forces members and band marching.
• the Queen boarding a Qantas plane and the plane taking off.

The film shows:

• the Australia Day parade 1952 including floats, people, bands and a fire truck.

The film shows the Warana Festival parade and surrounding crowds.  The parade includes:

• various bands including the Greenslopes State School Band.
• floats and people representing various organisations including Lion's International, St John’s Ambulance, YMCA, DHA, South Queensland Division of the Queensland Amateur Fishing Club Association, Geelong Automatic Telephony, China Town and the SEA Fire Brigade, the Gold Coast and the Queen.

The film shows numerous family scenes at various places such as home, the sea side, camp sites, Lone Pine.  Scenes include:

• babies and children playing with parents; on toy cars, rockers and trikes; with toys such as dolls and a dolls house; with their pet dog and monkey; eating all day suckers.
• family picnicking at various places.
• beach scenes with the family on the sand and in shallow water.
• family enjoying dodgem boats, gliders and fishing.
• family birthday cakes.
• children cuddling koalas at Lone Pine.
• adults pumping water using a hand pump and collecting from bee hives.
• family get togethers.

The film also shows donkeys, elephants in a crowd of people and a bear behind a cage.

• children and pet dogs playing at the beach on sand and in shallow water.

• adult enjoying a plane ride in a single engine aeroplane and footage of spectators and planes at the aeroplane show.  There is also footage from the flying single engine aeroplane of other planes and the scenery below.

• children exploring the "Dickey" ship wreck while adults watch.
• men in military uniforms.

The film shows children riding horses, feeding lambs and petting cattle at a property near Dalby.  The family caravan can be seen in the background.

• family caravan built out of DC3 fuselage in the Mt Morgan/Wowan/Biloela area, on dirt roads, with a camp fire by its side.
