Abstract
Collection relating to the Empire Speedway which ran at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds from 1936.
Scope and content
The collection comprises 24 scrapbooks covering the history of the Empire Speedway from 1946 to 1994. The programs include some loose copies with unofficial results penciled in and some bound copies with official results. The videos are two betacam videos: 'Sprintcar Racing Crashes (World Series Sprintcars)' and 'Sigma Sedans at Archerfield International Speedway, 19/4/2000'. Also two albums of captioned photographs taken from the 1920s to 2000.
