Administrative / Biographical history
The "Giving Voice to the Voiceless" project was funded by Multicultural Affairs Queensland under the Multicultural Assistance Program. The project involved collaboration with a local community radio station "Radio Port Douglas" to undertake the interviewing of participants in the program and to work with the Mossman Community Centre, part of the Douglas Shire Community Services Association Inc., in bringing the program to the community. In 2015 the Douglas Shire Community Services Association Inc. became a company and changed names to become Mossman Support Services in 2016. "Radio Port Douglas" closed in 2017 and has been replaced with FAB FM. Community development officer Jill Bradley was coordinator of the project.
