Administrative / Biographical history

Andrew Craig, a former naval officer and helicopter pilot, served with the Royal Australian Navy from 1958-1988, retiring with the rank of Captain. His service included time at sea on HMAS Vendetta during the Indonesian Confrontation, deployment to Vietnam with 9 Squadron RAAF and the RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam, and command of 817 Naval Air Squadron. On leaving the RAN he was appointed Managing Director of Sikorsky Aircraft Australia, which at the time was manufacturing, testing and delivering Blackhawk helicopters for the RAAF/Army and Seahawk helicopters for the RAN.
