Abstract
The collection contains approximately 50,000 images, mainly colour transparencies, but also colour negatives, slides and photographs of Queensland including Brisbane, South East Queensland, Central Queensland and North and Far North Queensland created by MWA Viewfinder, commercial photographers located in Southport, Queensland. Many of the images are the result of aerial photography. Included are images documenting the construction of the second Gateway bridge on as well as other construction projects by Leighton Contractors. The construction of the second Gateway Bridge is also recorded on 124 CDs/DVDs. The collection also contains miscellaneous items such as photographs, business records and promotional printed ephemera/CD related to MWA Viewfinder.

MWA Viewfinder (previously 'Murray Waite and Associates - The Photographers') is a Gold Coast based commercial, advertising and industrial photography studio established in 1991 owned and operated by partners Murray Waite and Michael Redding. It's services include advertising, commercial and industrial photography: aerial photography; studio product photography; studio and location corporate photography eg. portraits, photographs for annual reports or marketing; art and architectural copying and reproduction; property development and progress photography; tourism and resort photography; fashion photography; marine photography; mining photography; industrial and construction photography; high end 'drum scanning' and pre-press preparation.
