Abstract
This collection contains a logbook, service medals, correspondence, clippings, a photograph and ephemera relating to the Second World War service of Lloyd George Jones with the 51st Infantry Battalion, AIF and the RAAF.
Scope and content

The log book contains detailed records of all flights undertaken, proficiency assessments, units at which served and aircraft in which flown - by Lloyd George Jones, between December 1942 and November 1945. The correspondence includes a letter written by Jones days before his death to his sister-in-law in Scotland; telegrams to his parents Arnold and Edith Jones informing them of his death and place of burial; and correspondence relating to the request made by his parents for the return of the remains of their son.
