This collection contains printed music of Sean O'Boyle's compositions and arrangements from 1988-2001. The collection also includes personal papers, press clippings, concert and event programs, photographs and two plaques.

Administrative / Biographical history

New York and Sunshine Coast based Sean O'Boyle AM is one of Australia's most prolific composers. Awarded the Order of Australia (AM) in 2015, Sean is also a conductor, record producer and educator, and has conducted recordings and concerts with many leading Australian and international orchestras. Sean's compositions have been performed and recorded by all the major Australian orchestras and several European and US Orchestras. Sean has composed and produced music for more than 150 recordings in collaboration with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He was commissioned to compose 'Illumination', a work to mark the re-opening of the State Library of Queensland on 24 November 2006.
