Abstract
Collection of 35mm slides documenting trains operating on Queensland Railways during the 1980s.
Scope and content
A collection of approximately 2400 colour slides show images of various classes of steam (PB15, C17, BB18¼ and A10), diesel (1250,1150, 1170 and 1723) and electric (3101) locomotives, as well as railway infrastructure, including stations, bridges and tracks, throughout Queensland. The slides consist of locomotives involved in the sugar cane and coal industries, passenger trains such as the Railmotor, Westlander and Inlander, tramways including Moreton Mill, Mulgrave and Hambledon, as well as visits to the Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum Society at Woodford.
