This item contains a book of sample greeting cards produced by Lonsdale & Bartholomew (Aust.) Pty. Ltd., Christmas card publishers, located at 46-48 Holt Street, Surry Hills, Sydney, N.S.W.

The book has a black and brown patterned cover with gold print. Most of the greeting cards have coloured prints on their front cover.

Jens Lundager produced greeting cards and would have used this book as a resource for himself, and perhaps for clients.

This item contains a box holding a variety of tools used by Jens Lundager in his photography business.

Many of the photographs have no description. The photographer for many of the photographs is unknown, although a number were taken by Jens Lundager and other commercial photographers such as Chas. Hill Studio (Mount Morgan), St. Austell Studio (Mackay) and studios in Sydney. Locations include Rockhampton, Mount Morgan, Sydney, but also include other places. Many of the photographs are portraits, some are of the family walking through busy Sydney streets.

Some of these photographs, particularly the cabinet cards, may have served dual purposes - for the family, and as examples of Jens Lundager's work to show potential customers.

There are also photographs of the Lundager sisters taken during a trip at least 3 of the sisters took to the Blue Mountains, N.S.W. around 1950. There are also a small number of other miscellaneous travel photos featuring the Lundager sisters.

The images were taken, or collected, by the Lundager sisters. No Lundager family members have been identified in the above photographs.

This item contains an album associated with John Craies and his World War 1 service:

• postcard of two women and a man standing by parcels destined for soldiers serving overseas, with the caption 'Lest we forget...the first lot of 1918 Xmas parcels at 'Nyrambla', Ascot ready for the post. With thanks for your help. Best Christmas wishes from Joseph Botten.'
• many individual soldier portraits as well as group portraits. Some have captions containing details such as dates, locations, names. Portraits include those of members of the 5th Field Artillery Brigade (F.A.B.) John Craise, Arthur Verner Barwood (SERN 8763) and Leslie Clarence Hobson (SER8899). Some soldiers were unidentifiable, others identified themselves as  'Jack the Ripper' or 'The Storeman'. Some of the portraits were taken in France.
• postcard of a small boy in military uniform saluting with the caption 'Queensland mascot Pat Vidgen'.
• postcards of various warships.
• soldiers at the infantry camp at Alderley, Brisbane in various activities such as at camp, training and on parade on Empire Day, 24 May.
• correspondence to John Craies.

The postcards are in black and white, with some hand coloured. They were probably taken by commercial photographers. For some, the commercial photographer has been identified.

This album was probably compiled by John Hamilton Craies, husband of Mary Lundager.

• postcards of A.I.F. troops embarking at Pinkemba, 28 June 1915. A.I.F. soldier John Craies embarked on this date from Brisbane.
• postcards of A.I.F troops leaving Sydney 7 September 1915. It is likely that John Craies' ship the H.M.A. transport 'Aeneas' stopped here on its path to the First World War.
• postcards of H.M.A. transport 'Aeneas', the ship John Craies travelled on to the First World War.
• postcards of soldiers with Egyptians near the pyramids of Egypt.

The album probably belonged to John Craies.

Ernest Diprose was from Townsville, embarking from Brisbane on the HMAT Warilda on 5 October 1915. It is likely he knew John Craies. Ernest died during World War 1 in 1918.

Another 1-2 postcards contain correspondence and are in German, English and French. One mentions the Y.M.C.A.. and was dated 1919. A few photographs are also included in the album.

This item contains an album featuring photographs of Mary Lundager and husband John Hamilton Craies on their wedding day in 1928. The photographs also feature other family members and the minister. This is followed by many photographs taken during their honeymoon of scenery and buildings, lacking identification.

The album was from Mary and John Craies to Hulda Lundager, Mary's sister. The photographs are in black and white and the photographer is unknown.

This item contains the monograph Treasure trove : being good things lost and found, collected by John O'London, published by George Newnes Ltd., London, in 1925.

The inside of the front cover contains miscellaneous material such as: rhymes by G. Birkett, Joyce Kilner; quotes by Abraham Lincoln and Disraeli; and artworks, one a print of a lead pencil drawing of the Queensland War Memorial by Douglas Pratt, the other two crows gossiping on a sign post.

The letters and postcards span from 26 March 1937-22 September 1937 and are mainly to her sisters Else, Hulda and Mary. The letters are hand written, although many are accompanied by a typed version of the original handwritten letter.
