Administrative / Biographical history

Ehmer's Puppets began as Remhettes Marionettes and Puppet Productions, and operated from 1956-2014. In that time they created hundreds of puppet characters, devised scripts with music and sound effects, and created performances for theatre, cabaret, television, schools, businesses, shopping centres and festivals. Bernie Ehmer and his wife Eileen Ehmer operated the business from their home in Brisbane, and their son Stephen was also involved for a time. They were also involved in a range of puppetry-related exhibitions, events and festivals.
