The film opens with a voiceover/commentary as workers are being ferried out to the construction site of the new bridge to Redcliffe in WWII DUKWs affectionately known as 'Ducks'. Commentary states that the construction is in the early days but is expected to be completed on time for opening in January 1980.
Most of the film shows the construction of the new bridge and scenes of Redcliffe, including beach scenes, cars driving the streets.
The last section of the film shows school children in Marching Band uniforms, marching down the main street, probably in a school marching band competition.
