Series 2: Diaries (1940-1974)
Diaries kept by members of the 2/2nd Australian Anti Tank Regiment, of their experiences during the Second World War.
- Diary of John McKimmon (QX760) served as a Sergeant in the 2/2nd Australian Anti Tank Regiment in the Middle East and New Guinea. The diary, written after the war, contains much information about 2/2nd Australian Anti Tank Regiment, as well as an account of the author's posting in Vietnam.
- Diary kept by Angus Jamie during the Second World War. The diary begins with Jamie's training at Redbank, Brisbane, and ends with his discharge from the Army, in 1945. Appendices include: names of the 2/2nd Anti Tank Regiments personnel; embarkations and disembarkations rolls; photocopies of photographs taken during the war; a war diary and information about casualties suffered in Syria, as well as the wounded and missing in action.
