Scope and content
These papers were kept by David Gifford Croll while serving with the 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance, AIF, while in Egypt, Gallipoli and Palestine. There are a number of diaries and notebooks kept by the Colonel along with maps of Cairo, Ploegsteert and Gallipoli and a detailed history of the Field Ambulance. Included are reports, orders, Christmas cards, issues of 'Peninsular Press' and an Army Medical Service arm band.
