Abstract
The collection comprises 26 bound volumes, 114 files, 153 printed catalogues, 7 invitations, 5 typescripts, 1 suitcase and 1 document.
Scope and content

The collection documents the Johnstones' administration of the Galleries, and later consultancy, and the relationships with artists, clients and other galleries. It includes scrapbooks, correspondence, photograph albums, exhibition catalogues and financial records. Some personal material following the closure of the Galleries is included, as is some correspondence following Brian Johnstone's death in 1988. In 2021, this collection was added to UNESCO's Memory of the World Australian Register.
