This item contains a trophy awarded to Ruby Spowart for 'Best slide' in the Coorparoo Methodist Church Photographic Competition in 1969.
The trophy contains a metal disc attached at the top and bottom to a metal hinge that allows the disc to swing in a full circle. The disc contains the text 'Best Slide Mrs R Spowart' on one side and on the other side images of cameras as well as a larger figure projected from a smaller image. The details on both sides have been formed out of metal. The hinge is attached to a wooden stand with a metal label containing text. The text reads 'Coorparoo Methodist Church Photographic Competition 1969'.

This item contains 1 set of photographs exhibited in the 'Travel documents' exhibition of Ruby and Doug Spowart at Imagery Gallery from 16-30 June, 1986. The photographs in this item were taken by Ruby Spowart.
The set of photographs contains 3 arrangements of photographs in a horizontal line. Each arrangement contains 4 identical photographs set in a square shape. The set is framed with the text 'Arches-scapes Stockman's Hall of Fame' beneath the arrangements as well as signed and dated 'Ruby Spowart July 88'. A label attached to the back of the frame gives a selling price of $550. The photographs are in a matt frame.

This item contains 3 sets of photographs exhibited in the 'Ground effects and other recent works' exhibition of Ruby Spowart.
Each of the 3 sets of photographs contains 3 arrangements of photographs in a horizontal line. Each arrangement contains 4 identical photographs set in a square shape. Each photograph set is mounted in a matt frame and signed and dated 'Ruby Spowart Sept 88'.
The photographs are of the ground and include feet and different textures of sand. They were taken on Moreton Island in the dynamic square technique.
This exhibition contained photographs in 3 different formats. The photographs in this item are representations of one of these formats. This format "consists of the repetition of four rectangular images, grouped together to form a square. The uneven sides, the lines formed and the square create the dynamic 'running' form of the swastika of Old World decoration." (as reviewed by Gene Owens, a psedonym for Doug Spowart).
The exhibition was held at Imagery Gallery from October 1-15, 1988, then at other locations.

'Roidscape' exhibition polaroids (1985?)
This item contains 10 arrangements of polaroid photographs exhibited in the 'Roidscapes' exhibition of Ruby Spowart.
The polaroids are arranged into various shapes. Two of the polaroid arrangements have text beneath the arrangement, they are 'Winton' and 'Sculpture view'. Most of the arrangements consist of polaroids of buildings or building features, one contains polaroids of a night time view across water.
The arrangements are attached to grey board which bears the signature of Ruby Spowart. The polaroids are of standard size, the arrangement and number of polaroids used in each arrangement varies.
The exhibition was held at Imagery Gallery in 1985, toured with the Queensland Arts Council to many regional locations in 1986 and was held at The Centre Gallery, Gold Coast and the Brisbane City Library exhibition room in 1987.

'The experiment combined both traditional and digital photography to bring Toowoomba Chronicle readers a pictorial essay of people, landmarks and events...30 top photographers from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and the Society of Advertising, Commercial and Magazine Photographers gathered on Show Weekend to cover assignments in the local area including Jondaryan, Drayton and Oakey.' 'A ground-breaking project working with significant photographers from the region and overseas as a way to engage with the new digital technology.
