Beech Family papers

This series consists chiefly of letters and postcards written by brothers Thomas 'Tom' and Albert 'Bert' Beech as they embark overseas for service during the First World War. Both ambulance bearers prior to enlisting, during this time Bert served in Egypt and Gallipoli, with the 3rd Field Ambulance Brigade, while Tom remained with the 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance, in the Middle East.

This series consists chiefly of letters and postcards written by brothers Thomas 'Tom', Albert 'Bert' and William Beech (jnr) while on active service, during the First World War. 

This single item series consists of a typed transcript of the diary kept by William Edmund Beech jnr, 4th Pioneer Battalion. William wrote an account of his voyage to Australia from England at the end of the war aboard SS Swakopmund.

This series consists of postcards sent to family members from Thomas Beech, while serving oveseas during the First World War.

Three photographic postcards of the camp and members of 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance, in Egypt.

• 2. Photograph of Light Horse camps in the desert, taken by Jim [James] Scott, 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance.
• 3. Formal portrait taken 11 October 1916 and annotated by Thomas Beech. "The men all Queenslanders of A Section, 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance. Standing: Behaun, Gundry, McLeod, Sellars, Cochrane, Devine, Reynolds & Scott. Sitting: McLennon, Harris, T. Mitchell, J. Tighe, Les Dunstan & a Belgian 'kiddie' to make the number 14".

Four picture postcards of scenes in Egypt, only one has a message on the reverse from Thomas Beech to his sister Mary.

This series consists of greeting cards, some in the form of postcards, written to family and friends by members of the Beech Family.

This series consists of an additional collection of Beech Family greeting cards with typed transcripts, not included in the First World War content, that was originally donated. Many are undated.

This series consists of miscellaneus papers relating to the Beech Family of Somerset Farm, Baking Board, Queensland, which include invitations, Queensland Sunday School Union papers, and transcripts and notes regarding the donation.

Queensland Sunday School Union calendar and daily reading hints for several months during, 1912-1913

Pamphlet relating to the [Belgian] Babies Milk Fund, Art Union.

Two receipts for goods received from stationers Smith & Patterson, Brisbane; and Pigott and Co., Toowoomba.
