Letters written by Susan Ramsay, most being addressed to her father, William Fullerton Lindsay-Carnegie, her mother having died when Susan was a child. Other letters are addressed to her uncle and to individuals named Mary and Mr Carnegie.
Subjects include: boiling down sheep for tallow; a description of the house at "Rosalie Plains"; times of meals; problems of keeping food in the heat and from insects; isolation; shearing; new neighbours from Tasmania; her garden; birth of children; servant problems; mail held up by floods; Aborigines; Louis Hope building a brick house at Kilcoy; separation of the colony of Queensland; vaccinating the children; sale of the station to Wienholt and Kent; Hope’s relations with the Aborigines; journey to Brisbane; staying at Captain Wickham’s residence; lodgings in London; bad voyage back to Australia; sugar venture with Hope; Robert’s attendance at Parliament; life at "Eton Vale"; changes in sheep farming; the introduction of fencing; climate and potential of Darling Downs; Robert’s budget speech.

Four folders, primarily containing letters from R.C. Ramsay to his father, Robert Ramsay, who had retired to England. Robert Christian Ramsay (1861-1957) was the fourth son of Robert and Susan Ramsay. The letters and other papers deal primarily with the management of "Oondooroo" Station, Winton.

Two letterbooks containing correspondence from R.C. Ramsay.
- The first letterbook contains copies of correspondence from Robert Ramsay to several individuals, including his son Edward and his brother Frank. The letters in this book are handwritten.
- The second letterbook includes several letters to newspapers giving his opinion on a range of topics, including patriotism and World War I. Also included are letters to his brother Frank on war-related matters. A number of newspaper cuttings on assorted topics are also included. Most of the letters are typed.

This series consists of four items. The first is a photocopy of a biography of Robert Christian Ramsay (1861-1957), compiled by his son Alexander Ramsay. The remaining items are collections of typed reminiscences by R.C. Ramsay. The biography is based on these reminiscences.
