Christina Boughen OAM FTCL LRSM A Mus A (known as Christine) was a highly acclaimed musician, a pianist, teacher and accompanist, and had a well-established professional career when she met her future husband Robert. Christina played piano in a large number of concerts in the Brisbane City Hall and was highly esteemed, professional and sympathetic accompanist who would always bring out the best in any entrant. On occasion she also played the organ. Married to Robert in 1951, they raised four children and continued as full-time musicians and music educators. Christina was a vital figure in the development of many of Queensland's notable classical music soloists and orchestral musicians. She passed away in April 2014 aged 93.
