Queensland Country Women's Association minute books and records

Ten (10) minute books, and loose minutes, of the Abercorn Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the March 1952 to the 30th May 2003. The volumes cover their monthly and annual meetings from the:

For the Abercorn Branch Younger Set, the volumes cover their monthly meetings from the:

For the Adavale Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 1st March 1969 to the 14th September 1979. The dates per volume are:

• 1st March 1969 to the 10th May 1975 (includes the 39th Annual meeting held on the 27th September 1969 to the Annual meeting held on the 6th October 1974)
• 7th June 1975 to the 22nd April 1978 (includes the Annual meeting held on the 27th September 1975 to the Annual meeting held on the 14th September 1979)

Branch went into RECESS at the Special/monthly meeting held on the 22nd April [1978] but there are loose minutes for the Annual meeting held on the 14th September 1979.

Five (5) minute books of the Alice Berry Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 3rd October 1979 to the 21st October 2008. The dates per volume are:

• Inaugural meeting to form a Branch held on the 3rd October 1979, then monthly from 22nd October 1979 - 15th August 1988 (includes the 1st Annual meeting held on the 22nd September 1980 to the 9th Annual meeting held on the 19th September 1999)
• 17th October 1988 - 17th May 1993 (includes 10th Annual meeting held on the 28th August 1989 to the 13th Annual meeting held on the 7th September 1992)
• 21st June 1993 - 19th July 1999 (includes the 14th Annual meeting held on the 30th August 1993 to the 20th Annual meeting held on the 26th July 1999)
• 16th August 1999 - 22nd September 2006 (includes the 21st Annual meeting held on the 24th July 2000 to the 22nd Annual meeting held on the 23rd July 2001 (and a copy of the 2006 annual report))

One (1) minute book of the Alice Berry Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 30th October 2004 to the 7th December 2008. The dates of the volume are:

• Meeting to form a Younger Set was held on the 30th October 2004, then monthly from 20th November 2004 - 7th December 2008 when the Younger Set went into RECESS (includes 1st Annual meeting held on the 30th July 2005 to the 4th Annual meeting held on the 20th July 2008.

Minute book of the Bardon Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the monthly meetings held from the 5th December 1944 to the 18th July 1945, as well as the minutes and reports presented at the Annual meeting held on the 18th September 1945.

Twenty-seven (27) sets of loose minutes of the monthly meetings of the Bauhina Branch from the 3rd February [1981] to the 20th August 1984, as well as the minutes and reports of the 4th Annual meeting held on the 19th September 1984.

For the Biggenden Branch, there is only one page of monthly meeting minutes from the 17th May 1988, and only one page of the minutes of the Biggenden Branch Younger Set from the 20th April 1969.

For the Ballogie Younger Set, two pages of a typed President's Report for 2010-2011.

Eight (8) minute books Bli Bli Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 6th December 1944 to the 4th October 1967. The volumes cover their monthly and annual meetings:

• held from the 6th December 1944 to the 3rd February 1954, including also the minutes and reports of the 15th Annual meeting held on the 9th December 1944 to the annual meeting held on the 4th November 1953 (and an envelope of Christmas cards, letters and clippings as well as a copy of the 1929 Branch record tipped in)
• held from the 3rd March 1954 to the 4th September 1959, including also the minutes and reports of the 26th Annual meeting held on the 5th November 1955 to the 29th Annual meeting held on the 3rd September 1958
• held from the 7th October 1959 to the 4th October 1967, including also the minutes and reports of the 30th Annual meeting held on the 29th September 1959 to the 38th Annual meeting held on the 4th October 1967

Ten (10) minute books and loose minutes of the Bribie Island Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 7th September 1966 to the 1st March 2000.  The volumes in Box 5454 cover their monthly and annual meetings from the:

• reports in the form of letters back to Head office from the formation date of the Branch 15th August 1966, and the 1st monthly meeting from the 9th September 1966 to the 11th December 1967
• 7th September 1966 to the 6th December 1972, including also the minutes and reports of the 1st Annual meeting held on the 6th September [1967] to the 6th Annual meeting held on the 26th September 1972 (financial statements are tipped in throughout the volume)
• 7th February 1973 to the 5th September 1979, including also the minutes and reports of the 7th Annual meeting held on the 10th September 1973 to the 13th Annual meeting held on the 5th September 1979

As all positions were vacant, the Branch CLOSED as at 28th July 2014.

Two (2) minute books of the Bohlevale Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 13th October 1928 to the 16th February 1946. The details, per volume are:

• loose minutes and letters (approximately 30 pages) in a folder covering the minutes of the monthly meetings from 13th October 1928 to the 5th June 1936, including the 6th Annual Report presented at the Annual meeting held on the 30th June 1929 to the minutes of the Annual meeting held on the 3rd June 1936
• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 18th July [1939] to the 16th February 1946, and the Annual meetings held from 23rd June 1939 to the 22nd Annual meeting held on the 2nd May 1945.

Six (6) minute books of the Brisbane Metropolitan Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the Formation of the QCWA on the 11th August 1922 the 22nd December 1964.

Meeting to form a Country Women's Association in Queensland (the QCWA) was held on the 11th August 1922 at the Albert Hall, Brisbane.  There is a history of the fledgling QCWA in this folder. The volumes in Box 4485 cover the Executive's monthly and annual meetings from the:

• loose typed minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 1st meeting on the 11th August 1922 to the 9th February 1923
• 4th October 1923 to the 2nd February 1926, as well as the 1st Annual meeting held on the 26th March 1924 and the 2nd Annual meeting held on the 10th March 1925 (includes clippings about the Country Women's Association)

The volumes in Box 5533 cover their monthly and annual meetings from the:

• 7th November 1950 to the 5th October 1954, as well as the minutes and reports for the Annual meetings held from the 18th October 1950 to the Annual meeting held on the 15th October 1952 (these minutes are handwritten and stuck into the volume)
• 2nd November 1954 to the 3rd February 1959, as well as the minutes and reports for the Annual meetings held from the 13th October 1954 to the Annual meeting held on the 10th October 1958
• 3rd March 1959 to the 4th August 1964, as well as the minutes and reports for the Annual meetings held from the 9th October 1959 to the Annual meeting held on the 8th October 1963
• 1st September 1964 to a Special meeting held on the 22nd December 1964, as well as the minutes and reports for the Annual meetings held from the 7th October 1964 to the Annual meeting held on the 7th October 1964.  Loose financial statement of receipts and Expenditure are in the back of the volume which is mostly empty.

The Branch CLOSED at the Special meeting on the 22nd December 1922 "because of poor management and dissention amoung (sic) the members".

One (1) minute book of the combined Brisbane Branches Choir of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from February 1956 to the 6th August [1963]. 

The 1st practice meeting was minuted and held on the 14th February 1956 and the last monthly minutes in the volume date from the 6th August [1963].  There is a black and white photograph of the 1st Choir attached to the front inside cover.  The volume also records the minutes and reports of the 2nd Annual meeting, held on the 11th September 1956 to the 8th Annual meeting held on the 31st August 1962.

One (1) packet containing two sets of minutes and one President's Report.  The minutes cover the monthly meetings from 7th August 2011 to the 14th August 2011, and the President's Report is undated.

One (1) minute book of the Burnett Heads Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 6th June 2000 to the 12th March 2003.

The first minutes in the volume are of a Public meeting to re-establish a Branch, held on the 6th June 2000.  Then are recorded their monthly meetings from the 1st meeting held on the 15th June 2000 to a Special meeting held on the 12th March 2003.  Only one Annual meeting is recorded that was held on the 31st July 2001.

The Branch CLOSED at the Special meeting held on the 12th March 2003.

One (1) minute book of the Calliope Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 29th April 1997 to the 5th April 2005.

The first minutes in the volume are of a Public meeting to form a Younger Set, held on the 29th April 1997.  Then are recorded their monthly meetings from the 1st meeting held on the 7th May 1997 to a Special meeting held on the 5th April 2005.  Only one Annual meeting is recorded but is undated, but probably 1998.

The Younger Set CLOSED at the Special meeting held on the 5th April 2005.

One (1) minute book of the Capella Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 8th December 1964 to the 20th November 1966.

The volume records the minutes of their monthly meetings from the 8th December 1964 to the 20th November 1966.  Only one Annual meeting is recorded and was held on the 9th August 1965.

One (1) packet containing 34 sets of minutes of the meetings of the Capricorn Court Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 26th November 2001 to the 13th September 2006.

The minutes cover the monthly meetings from the 26th November 2001 to the 13th September 2006.  The last item in the packet is a Report on units rented by QCWA Capricorn Court, which is signed on the 7th August 2006.

One (1) minute book of the Caves Younger Set (Capricornia YS) of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 7th November 1979 to the 3rd February 1982.

In the minutes of the meeting held on the 5th February 1980 they changed their name to the Capricornia Younger Set.  The only annual meeting minutes records are for the meeting held on the 31st August 1980, and most of the volume is empty.

Two (2) minute books of the Charleville Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 3rd October 1961 to the 24th September 1982.  The details, per volume are:

• minutes of their monthly meetings held from the 3rd October 1961 to the 5th September 1972, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings from the 38th Annual meeting held on the 25th September 1962 to the 49th Annual meeting held on the 25th September 1972.  Included in the volume are a clipping from the newspaper "Western Star" dated 4th October 1962, which was a copy of the 38th President's Report.
• minutes of their monthly meetings held from the 3rd October 1972 to the 30th September 1982, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings from the 49th Annual meeting held on the 21st September 1973 to the 58th Annual meeting held on the 24th September 1982.

Eight (8) sets of loose minutes of their monthly meetings:

• held on the 2nd September 1971 to the 4th June 1981
• held on the 6th August 1981 to the 1st February 1988
• held on the 12th July 2011 to the 16th June 2012

Only one President's Report is included here.  It is dated 23rd July 2011.

One (1) minute book, heavily water damaged, containing the minutes of the Branch's monthly meetings held from the 11th November 1985 to the 9th July [1991], as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held on the 8th September 1987.

Fourteen (14) minute books of the Coolum Beach Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 2nd August 1931 to the 13th November 2012.  

A meeting of people interested in forming a Branch was held on the 2nd August 1931 (it is noted), and then the volume contains the minutes of the Branch's monthly meetings, from:

• the1st meeting held on the 23rd August 1931 to the 29th March 1940. A collection of loose statements of receipts and payments dated November 1933, November 1935 and November 1937 is included in the volume and a Annual report dated 20th February 1937 is tipped in

A meeting to form a Branch was held, and then the volume contains the minutes of the Branch's monthly meetings, from:

There is a gap in the collection til 1984

• the 6th June 1984 to the 2nd December 1988, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 14th September 1984 to the 63rd Annual meeting held on the 28th August [1989] (it is undated but is probably 1989)
• the 6th September 1989 to the 3rd April 1991, as well as the minutes and reports of the 65th Annual meeting held on the 25th August [undated] to the Annual meeting held on the 31st August [1990].  The minutes in this last volume are patchy and often undated or incompletely dated.

One (1) minute book of the minutes of the Younger Set's monthly meetings from their 1st meeting held on the 6th March [1930] to October 1930.

Eight (8) minute books of the Croydon Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 8th October 1932 to the 28th July 2009. The volumes record the minutes of the monthly and Annual meetings, and Special meetings:

• held from the 8th October 1932 to the Special meeting held on the 11th September 1935
• held from the 7th July 1934 to the 11th September 1936.  There is confusion in the dates in these first 2 volumes til the 11th September 1936, then the meeting dates continue
• held from the 2nd July 1948 to the 5th February 1949
• the minutes of the 5th February 1949 continue in this volume to the Special meeting held on the 1st September 1951.  Also recorded in this volume are the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 8th September 1951
• held from the 8th September 1951 to the 16th May 1953, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 16th August 1952.

There is a gap in the collection til 1975. It would appear the Branch was re-formed.

There is another gap til 1998.

One packet of 23 loose pages of correspondence and reports as well as the minutes of the Committee of the Dalrymple District from the 4th of November 1926 to the 30th June 1927.  The 4th Annual report of the Dalrymple District CWA held on the 30th June 1927 is also included.

Seven (7) minute books of the Deception Bay Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period 28th April 1955 to 21st July 2010.  The volumes record the minutes of the monthly and Annual meetings, and Special meetings held on:

• the inaugural meeting held on the 28th April 1955, then the monthly meetings from then to the 7th August 1963, as well as the minutes and reports of the 1st Annual meeting held on the 1st September 1955 to the Annual meeting held on the 10th October 1962
• the 11th September 1963 to the 4th August 1971, as well as the minutes and reports of an Annual meeting undated (but probably in October 1963) to the 15th Annual meeting held on the 17th September 1970
• the 8th September 1971 to the 13th August 1975, as well as the minutes and reports of the 16th Annual meeting held on the 29th September 1971 to the 19th Annual meeting held on the 26th September 1974

There is a gap in the collection til 1979.

• the 13th June 1979 to the 12th October 1983, as well as the minutes and reports of the 24th Annual meeting held on the 20th September 1979 to the 28th Annual meeting held on the 28th September 1983

There is another gap in the collection til 1994.

• the 14th September 1994 to the 14th November 2001, as well as the minutes and reports of the 41st Annual meeting held on the 16th August 1995 to the 47th Annual meeting held on the 11th July 2001.  There is a copy of the 50th Annual report tipped into the volume
• the 13th February 2002 to the 12th November 2008, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 10th July 2002 to the [54th] Annual meeting held on the 23rd July 2008
• the 11th February 2009 to the 9th June 2010, as well as the minutes and reports of the 55th Annual meeting held on the 21st July 2010.  There are several documents loose in the volume including one concerning the Gambling Benefit Fund Grant 13-3-2002, an invitation from QCWA Caboolture to a morning tea as well as a list of Divisional and Branch Officers which typed and is stuck in.

One (1) minute book of the Drillham Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period 17th March 1944 to the 8th December 1947.  

A meeting to form a Branch was held on the 13th December 1943, and then the volume contains the minutes of the Branch's monthly meetings, from:

• the 1st monthly meeting held on the 17th March 1944 to the 8th December 1947, as well as the reports and minutes of the Annual meeting held on the 19th October 1945 to the annual meeting held on the 19th September 1947.

One folder of 10 pages of State Insurance Policy Information for the Duaringa Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period for the 18th September 1968, 8th October 1968 and the 7th July 1979.

Two (2) minute books of the Duaringa Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period 8th September [1925] to the 8th August 1942.

A meeting, attended by Mrs. Rogers, Organiser of CWA, was held to form a Branch on the 8th September [1925], and then the volume contains the minutes of the Branch's monthly meetings, from:

• handwritten minutes of the monthly meetings from the 26th January 1972 to the 27th August 1980.  There is also a list of the CWA Room's equipment as at July 1974 (eg. number of cups etc)

The minutes of an Emergency meeting held on the 31st August 1988 are also included.  They seem to have had combined annual meetings with other local Branches but they record the Election of their Branch Officers in the September or October monthly meeting's minutes.
• loose pages in the front of the volume are a History of the Gatton Branch in which it states that the Branch was formed on the 24th November 1924.  Then the monthly minutes from the 26th June [1996] to the 6th June 2005 are recorded.  The minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held at Withcott in 1995 (no date is recorded) to the 26th July 2004 are also recorded.  Tipped into the volume is a copy of the minutes of the Darling Downs Division, Mobile Executive meeting held at Mt Tyson on the 12th September 1951.

One (1) minute book of the Gladstone Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period 9th August 1944 to the 14th August 1951, recording the minutes of the monthly meetings from 11th October 1944 to the 14th August 1951, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting dated from the 9th August 1944 to the annual meeting held on the 17th September 1948.  In the minutes of the 17th September 1948 it is recorded that the inaugural meeting was in 1923.  There are clippings throughout the volume regarding their meetings.

Twelve (12) minute books of the Glamorgan Vale Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 29th July 1930 to the 21st July 2005. The Branch was formed on the 29th July 1930.

One (1) minute book of the Inglewood Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association covering the minutes of their monthly meetings for the period from the 25th April 1940 to the 20th October 1949, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 13th [September] 1947.  There is a note that the 5th Annual Ball was held on the 28th June 1940.  Most of the volume is empty.

One (1) minute book of the QCWA Inglewood Branch's Hostel Committee covering the minutes of their monthly meetings for the period from the 16th August [1962] to July 1973.  There is a copy of the Annual report of the Hostel for 1973-74 stuck into the back of the volume.

Two (2) minute books of the Isisford Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 29th September 1973 to the 13th October 1999.  The details, per volume are:

One (1) minute book of the Marmor Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association covering the minutes of their monthly meetings for the period from their inaugural meeting held on the 23rd September 1979 to the 10th November [1989], as well as the minutes and report of the Annual meeting held from the 31st August 1980 to the Annual meeting held on the 30th July 1989.  These Annual meetings are combined with other local Younger Sets or with the parent Branch.

One (1) folder containing 14 sets of minutes of the monthly meetings of the Maryborough Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 13th July 2011 to the 18th July 2012.  There are also the minutes of the 20th Annual meeting, the Supervisor's Report for 2010-2011 dated 2nd July 2011, the President's report for 2011 and 1 letter included.

Four (4) minute books of the Meringandan Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 30th August 1966 to the 14th October 2004. The details of each volume are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 30th August 1966 to the 27th November [1973], as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held on the 27th September 1966 to the Annual meeting held on the 27th September 1973
• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 22nd January 1974 to the 16th August [1983], as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held on the 2nd October 1974 to the 36th Annual meeting held on the 6th September 1982.  There are loose financial statements throughout the volume.

One (1) folder containing 3 sets of minutes of the monthly meetings of the Middle Ridge Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 12th November 2011 to the 17th April 2012.  There are also included several documents, that are undated but would be presented to the 2012 Annual meeting, specifically, an agenda, President's report and other reports.

One (1) minute book of the Millmerran Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association recording the minutes of the monthly meetings for the period from April 1982 to the 12th July 1994.  No annual meetings are recorded.  It appears the Branch CLOSED at the meeting held on the 12th July 1994.

One (1) folder containing 6 sets of carbon-copied minutes of the monthly meetings of the Mondarga Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 2nd November 1968 to the 19th May 1969.  There is also included a copy of the 12th Annual report which is undated.

Two (2) minute books and loose documents of the Morningside Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 24th March 1949 to the 10th September [1997].  The volumes cover:

• A meeting to form a Branch was held on the 24th March 1949, then the volume contains the minutes of the Branch's monthly meetings from then til the 11th February 1953.  The volume also records the minutes and reports for the 1st Annual meeting held on the 6th October 1949 to the 4th Annual meeting held on the 1st December 1952.  A copy of the 1st Annual report is stuck into the back of the volume while there are copies of the reports for the 4th Annual meeting loose in the volume.  (Box 9724)

There is a gap in the collection til 1989.

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 2nd August 1989 to the 10th September [1997], as well as the minutes and reports of the 41st Annual meeting held on the 23rd August 1989 to the 49th Annual meeting held on the 3rd September 1997 (Box 9724)
• loose documents including an obituary for Mrs. Frances Annie Ross (died 12th June 1977) who was a member of the Morningside Branch for 37 years; a copy of a 'History' of the Branch, celebrations of the 80th birthday of Mrs Gladys McCray - the 1st President of the Branch (as quoted in the meeting held on the 24th March 1949) and 3 Annual reports for the 3rd, 4th and an undated meeting. (Box 9008).

One (1) minute book recording the minutes of the monthly meetings of the Moura Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from 25th February 2002 to the public meeting called on the future of the Branch held on the 25th March 2013.  There were problems reported with the State Executive, and all Officers of the Branch resigned during February and March 2013, prompting the meeting on the future.

Item consists of one page (1) being the minutes of the monthly meeting of the Younger Set held on the 16th February 2012.

One (1) minute book of the Muttaburra Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association covering the minutes of their monthly meetings for the period of the 25th June [1934].  The volume also contains the minutes and reports of the 3rd Annual meetings held on the 7th April 1933 to the 4th Annual meeting held on the 25th March [1934].  There are copies of financial receipts and expenditure for 1933-1935 included in the volume.

One (1) folder containing 7 sets of minutes of the monthly meetings of the Narayen Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 4th December 1973 to the 4th June 1974.  Also included are the report and minutes of the Annual meetings held on the 19th September 1973.  There is also a list of members dated 4th August 1971.

One (1) folder containing 3 typed reports Newtown Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for 2005-2006; 2006-2007 (dated 17th July 2007) and 2007-2008.  It is noted that the Branch was formed on the 25th March 1935.

One (1) minute book of the Newtown Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association, recording the minutes of their monthly meetings from the 7th June 1954 to the 3rd May 1955, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 4th October 1954.

One (1) minute book of the Norwin Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, recording the minutes of their monthly meetings from the 25th July 2017 to the 5th March 2019, as well as the minutes and reports of the 91st Annual meeting held on the 25th July 2017 and the 92nd Annual meeting held on the 3rd July 2018.  The annual meetings were combined with the Beauarba [sic] Branch.

It is noted that 'all the books of the Branch were CLOSED on the 9th July 2019.

Two (2) minute books and one (1) folder of a collection of letters, annual reports and minutes of the Ravenswood Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 2nd September 1960 to the 22nd August 1992. 

The folder contains:

• 24 letters, 26 sets of monthly meeting minutes from the 2nd September 1960 to the 1st April 1966, minutes of the Annual meetings from the 34th Annual meeting held on the 21st September 1963 to the 36th Annual meeting held on the 25th September 1965.  All documents are very brittle and burnt at the top left.

The two minute books record the minutes of the Branch's meetings from:

• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 7th October 1971 to the 6th September 1984, as well as the minutes and reports of the 42nd Annual meeting held on the 18th September 1971 to the Annual meeting held on the 27th September 1984
• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 11th October 1984 to the Special meeting held on the 22nd August 1992, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 14th September 1985 to the Annual meeting held on the 31st August 1991.

The Branch CLOSED after 60 years at the meeting held on the 22nd August 1992.

Two (2) minute books of the Redcliffe Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 11th March 1935 to the 3rd September 1974.  The volumes cover:

• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 11th March 1935 to the 4th August 1941.  No Annual meetings are recorded.

There is a gap in the collection til 1969.

• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 25th March 1969 to the 26th August 1975, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 9th September 1969 to the Annual meeting held on the 3rd September 1974.  The volume also includes the QCWA Music and Drama Group reports for 1969 (ie dated 9th September 1969) to 1974.

One (1) minute book recording the:

• minutes of the monthly meetings of the Redcliffe Music and Drama Group from the 23rd September 1975 to the 27th October 1981, as well as their Annual meetings held from the 2nd September 1975 and to the 21st Annual meeting held on the 25th August 1981.  The volume also includes a typed Annual report of the 19th Annual report of the Music and Drama Group and other documents dated the 25th August 1981.

Two (2) packets of containing approximately 34 pieces of correspondence and reports written as letters of the Palm Island Aboriginal Settlement Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 16th March 1938 to the 2nd February 1942.  The packets contain:

• loose letters, and reports written as letters, starting with 2 letters outlining another attempt to form a Branch dated 16th March and 26 April 1938, then minutes of monthly meetings, reported as letters, from the 4th November 1938 to the 8th December 1939, as well as 1st Annual report and balance sheet dated the 26th June 1939
• loose letters written as monthly reports of the Branch to the President of the Northern Division of the QCWA from the 3rd January 1940 to the 28th November 1941, as well as the 3rd Annual report dated 3rd May 1941.  There is a letter, dated 2nd February 1942, and a news clipping in which they advise that ...'with regret, all white women are advised to leave Palm Island' due to the War and many need help to leave.

One (1) folder containing approximately 66 sets of minutes, 4 letters and 6 annual reports of the Pentland Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 28th September 1959 to the 1st April 1966. The details of the folder are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 10th November 1960 to the 1st April 1966, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings from the 28th September 1959 to the Annual meeting held on the 27th September 1964.  There are also 4 pieces of general correspondence.

Two (2) minute books of the Pialba Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 23rd March 1926 to the 19th September 1957.  The details of each volume are:

• minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held from the 23rd March 1926 to the meeting held on the 5th January 1939
• minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held from the 5th January 1939 (repeated) - then there is a gap in the volume til 1947, when they restart as the 1st Annual meeting held on the 18th September 1947 to the 11th Annual meeting held on the 19th September 1957.

One (1) minute book and loose minutes of Annual meetings of the Pomona Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from August 1970 to the 25th August 1987.  The details are:

• minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held from the [53rd] Annual meeting held on the 22nd September 1981 to the Annual meeting held on the 25th August 1987.  There are also loose minutes in the volume from August 1970 to the 31st August 1972, as well as a copy of the 37th Annual report which is undated.

One (1) minute book of the Port Curtis Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from 6th December 1978 to the 3rd September 1980.  The details are:

The Branch went into RECESS after the Special meeting held on the 3rd September 1980.

One (1) minute book of the Rolleston Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from 3rd August 2000 to the 17th July 2003.  The details are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 3rd August 2000 to the 17th July 2003, as well as the minutes and reports of the 75th Annual meeting held on the 8th August 2000.  There is a notice given for a meeting to decide 'what's to be done with the room' held on the 8th December 2005.  A copy of the President's report for the 74th Annual meeting (1999) is stuck into the volume and the annual meeting to be held on the 24th August [2003].

One (1) packet containing 2 Annual reports of the South Bundaberg Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, being the 13th Annual report (1954?) and the 15th Annual report (1956?).

One (1) folder containing approximately 37 sets of minutes of monthly meetings and 3 sets of minutes of the annual meetings of the South Rockhampton Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 14th April [1978] to the 9th August 1984. The details are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 14th April [1978] to the 9th August 1984, as well as the minutes of the Annual meetings from the 6th September 1979 to the 20th Annual meeting held on the 7th September 1983.

Two (2) pages being a copy of the 18th Annual report dated [August] 1945 of the South Kolan Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association.  It states that the Branch was formed in 1927.

One (1) minute book of the Southport Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 19th October 1982 to the 24th September 1985.  The details are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 19th October 1982 to the 20th August 1985, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meetings held from the 20th September 1983 to the Annual meeting held on the 24th September 1985.

Two (2) minute books of the Southport Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 23rd September 1946 to the 4th February 1963.  The details of each volume are:

One (1) minute book of the Tiaro Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 6th September 2011 to the 12th November 2011.  The details are:

• minutes of the Inaugural meeting held on the 8th October 2011, then the monthly meeting held on the 12th November 2011 only.  There is a copy of a notice of a meeting to form a Younger Set to be held on the 8th October 2011 and letters to the Burnett Division President regarding forming a Younger Set and the enthusiasm for it, which is dated the 6th September 2011.

One (1) minute book of the Tin Can Bay Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 14th August 2011 to the 2nd February 2012.  The details are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 14th August 2011 to the 13th November 2011, as well as the minutes and reports of the 13th Annual meeting held on the 10th July 2011.  There is a copy of a letter of resignation of the Supervisor, dated the 2nd February 2012.

One (1) minute book of the Townsville Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 7th June 1923 to the 22nd October 1924.  The details are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 7th June 1923 to the Executive meetings held on the 22nd October 1924.  The volume records that Dr Phyllis Cilento was chair of the meeting held on the 2nd September 1923 and the minutes of a QCWA meeting with Mrs Ruth Fairfax (President of the QCWA) held on the 23rd July 1923.  Mrs Fairfax's speech re that Countrywomen are the backbone of the land is included.  The volume has a loose cover.

One (1) packet containing 20 sets of minutes of the "Victoria Estate" Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from Inaugural meeting held on the 27th October 1960, then monthly meetings are recorded til the 22nd May 1962.

Four (4) minute books of the Wallumbilla Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the period from the 11th January 1924 to the 1st July 1936. The details per volume are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 11th January 1924 to the 14th August 1925.  The 1st minutes in the volume are undated but are probably pre 12th November 1923 and the 1st full minutes are from the 11th January 1924.  The minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 14th March 1924 are also recorded.  There is a list of members from 1924 to 1926 in the back of the volume.

There is a gap in the collection til 1931.

• minutes of the monthly meetings from the 3rd April 1935 to the 1st July 1936, as well as the minutes and reports of the Annual meeting held on the 31st July 1935.

One (1) minute book of the Warra Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 6th August 1948 to the 5th August 1955.  The details are:

• minutes of the monthly meetings held from the 6th August 1948 to the 5th August 1955, as well as the reports and minutes of the Annual meetings from the 1st Annual meeting held on the 28th August 1949 to the Annual meeting held on the 21st August 1953.

The Younger Set was DISBANDED at the meeting held on the 5th August 1955 as '...the young girls around Warra and married or getting married' it was decided to disband.

Four (4) minute books of the Weir River Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association, for the period from the 11th May 1961 to the 17th March 1988. The details of each volume are:

The Branch have numbered these volumes but it appears we lack volume 1 in this collection/archive.

One single page of the Wondai-Wooroolin Younger Set of the Queensland Country Women's Association being the 2nd Annal report, which is undated but probably 2010 or 2011.

One (1) packet containing 2 sets of minutes of the monthly meetings of the Woocoo Branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association for the 13th November 1968 and the 4th December 1968.

• minutes of the Committee's monthly meetings held from the 1st meeting held on the 11th March 1968 to the 23rd August 1982. A clipping regarding the 1st Annual meeting (possibly held on the 27th September 1971) is stuck into the volume but no minutes are recorded.  The Committee became the Music and Drama Cultural Committee, which is recorded in the minutes of the 14th February 1979, and still later circa 1982, it became the Music and Culture Committee.
• minutes of the Committee's monthly meetings held from the 19th October 1982 to the 1st December 1994, and the minutes of the 15th Annual meeting held on the 3rd November 1983 to the annual meeting held on the 7th October 1994.  There is a list of officers for 1983-1984 in the back pages and 4 loose pages being the Annual report from 11th October 1993 and financial statements as at 30th November 1993 (as the Northern Division's Music and Drama Committee).

Item consists of administrative records, mostly minutes, of the South Coast Division's Committee/Groups: Emergency Housekeeper Scheme, Student Hostel/Gregory Terrace Hostel Committee, Garden Club, Music & Drama Committee, Project Committee, for the period from 1st September 1959 to 15th September 2004.

Student Hostel Committee - Box 6217(a)

• the monthly minutes of the meetings of the Student Hostel Committee from the 1st September 1959 to the 15th May 1964, and the minutes of the Annual meetings from the meeting held on the 1st October 1962 to the annual meeting held on the 30th September 1963.  The Annual report of the Gregory Terrace Hostel Management Committee dated 31st December 1966 is the last in the volume.

It is noted in minutes dated the 5th May 1967, that the Student Hostel Committee became the Gregory Terrace Hostel Committee, and, in minutes dated the 19th June 1964, it was transferred from the South Coast Division to become a State asset.

• the minutes of the Gregory Terrace Hostel Committee (name changed from Trainee Teachers Hostel on Gregory Terrace) are recorded from 19th June 1964 to the 8th May 1967.  The 1st Annual report as the Gregory Terrace Hostel is dated 1st June 1964 and included, where it is noted that the Hostel is to become a State Asset.  Minutes of the 1st Annual meeting held on the 20th April 1965 to the annual meeting held on the 5th May 1967 are also included in the volume.

Project Committee - Box 6217(a)

• the monthly minutes of the meetings of the Land Project Committee from the Inaugural meeting held on the 1st November 1967 to the 7th December 1970.  From the meeting held on the 27th November 1967 the name of the Committee changed to just Project Committee.  No annual meetings are recorded in this volume
• the monthly minutes of the meetings of the Project Committee held from the 22nd January 1971 to the 6th December 1976.  The minutes of the combined (ie all the Division's Committees) Annual meetings held from the 11th September 1972 to the 27th September 1975 are also recorded in the volume.

Emergency Housekeeper Scheme Committee - Box 6223

• the monthly minutes of the meetings of the Emergency Housekeeper Scheme Committee held from the 23rd September 1974 to the 13th September 1982.  The minutes of the combined (ie all the Division's Committees) Annual meetings held from the 23rd September 1974 to the 15th September 1980 are also recorded in the volume.

• the monthly minutes of the meetings of the Garden Club held from the 28th August 1989 to the 27th April 1998. The minutes of the Annual meetings of the Club from the13th Annual meeting held on the 28th August 1989 to the 21st Annual meeting held on the 25th August 1997 are also recorded.
• the monthly minutes of the meetings of the Garden Club held from the 25th May 1998 to the 16th September 2002. The minutes of the Annual meetings of the Club from the Annual meeting held on the 24th July 2000 (which is noted as the 25th Birthday) are also recorded.  There is a copy of the Annual report dated the 26th July 1999 is included but no minutes are recorded.  The volume has a short 'History of the Garden Club' in the front inside cover and a reproduction of the 1st Minutes, and the last minutes of an annual meeting in the volume are dated the 22nd July 2002.

Building Committee

Item consists of the records, mostly minutes, of the Aged Care Hostels Committee of the Queensland Country Women's Association:

• the minutes of the monthly meetings of the Aged Care Hostels Committee held from the 19th May 1990 to the 6th August 2001 are recorded. A report on the QCWA Aged Care Hostels Workshop, dated the 8th October 1990 is included but no annual meeting minutes.  There is a draft Organisational Chart of QCWA Residential Aged Care is also included but is undated (but is probably around 2001).
• the minutes of the monthly meetings of the newly renamed State Aged Care Committee (SACC) are recorded from the 8th October 2001 to the 15th October 2007.  Financial statements for 2008 are loose in the back of the volume.  From the 6th May 2004 the Committee has become an Advisory Group.
• Most of their minutes and meetings concern Sunset Lodge Aged Care. Notes from the meeting held on the 29th November 2007 indicate that Sunset Lodge was transferred to the RSL. Documents related to this, including financial statements dated from February 2008 ; a copy of an email from the Assessment Manager Aged Care Standard and Accreditation Agency Ltd to the QCWA State Office dated 10th June 2008 and an email from the Department of Health and Aging from the 5th June 2008 are also included in the front of the volume.
• the minutes of the monthly meetings of the Advisory Group held from the 29th November 2007 to October 2008 are also recorded.

• the minutes of the meeting held to form a State Committee for catering on the 16th November 1961, then the minutes of the monthly meetings from the Committee from the 19th December 1961 to the 1st August 1966 are recorded.  The minutes of the Annual meetings from the 1st Annual meeting held on the 17th April 1962 to the annual meeting held on the 11th May 1964 are also recorded in the volume.

A copy of the 28th Annual report  (1988) is stuck into the volume and there are no minutes for the 21st Annual meeting recorded.  A report of the 1985 Conference is stuck into the back page.  The Committee had a name change from September 1977 to the State Music and Drama Cultural Committee.
