Administrative / Biographical history
After her marriage, Louisa Forbes appears to have spent a good deal of time in Scotland and gave birth to their daughter in November 1875 at Monkrigg House, Haddington. They eventually had two sons and two daughters. In about 1878 she and her husband retired to Craiglockhart House, Slateford, Edinburgh, where George Forbes died in July 1881. Louise lived in Edinburgh until her death on 18 August 1916.
