Series 1: Correspondence
This series consists of two runs of alphabetical indexed correspondence files. There is nothing to distinguish the two files which hold correspondence covering the same time period and deal with similar correspondents. Many of the letters come from informants, that is people who were gathering information on Aboriginal groups for Dr. Winterbotham.

This series contains issues of the 'Aboriginal Quarterly' which was the newspaper of Abschol, Aboriginal Affairs Department of NUAUS. The paper deals with various issues, including land rights, health, education, politics; also looks at different communities.

Series 4: Research notes (1940-1948)
The material includes notes on locations of bora rings, the rings at Lowood and Cowah, extracts from correspondence (August 1948 - February 1949), railway map of south-east Queensland, correspondence, 9-14 March 1940, relating to the location of the bora rings.

Series 5: Informants notes
This series consists of informants' notes which have been arranged alphabetically by the informant's surname. There is a typed index to go with the notes that summarises the information covered by each informant, and when it was collected.

Series 6: Newsletters
This series consists of the newsletters of the Society. The run is imperfect and only goes up to 1982 (See S 572.005 for up to date newsletters). The newsletters contain information on Society events, annual general meetings, accounts, exhibitions and talks given by persons to the Society.

This series consists of the minutes of the Anthropological Society of Queensland meetings and other miscellaneous records. The minutes give details of where meetings were held, when, who attended and general business.
