Typescript "Tanu Nona's childhood". Tanu Nona (c.1902-1980), was a pearler and Torres Strait Islands councillor, born about 1902 on Saibai Island, one of eleven children of a Samoan seaman known locally as Tipoti Nona and his wife Ugari, a Saibai woman.

Typescript, correspondence and postcards from Western Samoa of the Nona Family, Badu Island. Included is a genealogical table.

This folder contains original photographs of: Misipele Nona at his home in Western Samoa; postcards of celebratory activities on Flag Day, 17 April; Aggie Grey in the garden of her famous hotel in Apia, views of Apia Harbour; Western Samoa and other sites of interest.

This item contains information for the inscription for the tombstone of George Passi's grave, as well as an obituary written by Margaret Lawrie on George's brother's behalf. George Passi was born 25 April 1925 and died on 30 December 1990.

Short biography of Henry George Simpson (1822-1898). Henry Simpson was born in England, a member of the Royal Navy he served on HMS Rattlesnake. After arriving in Queensland in 1865 he was made Commissioner of Lands and appointed to the Queensland Legislative Council on 29 July 1868, serving 14 years before he retired.
