Tangalooma whaling station (1956)
Views of the former whaling station at Tangalooma, on Moreton Island (Mulgumpin).
The views show the factory Whale Products Pty Ltd, and the process of processing whale meat.
The whaling station was established in 1952 and over 10 years processed over 6,277 whale carcasses. The operation seriously decimated the east coast population of humpback whales and was closed in 1962.

Series 2: Sketches (between 1910 and 1939?)
Many of the sketches in this series are identified as being the work of Holger Neilson Lovf (1890-1967) who was a talented artist known for his sketches and cartoons. Employed as a draftsman with the Department of Lands and Survey, and later as cartoonist with the Brisbane Courier, he was a member of and exhibited with the Queensland Art Society.
Holger Lovf is listed as an exhibitor in the 27th Annual Exhibition of the Queensland Art Society, contributing a number of portrait studies and cartoons.
